Netnod Board strengthened with the appointment of two new members
The Netnod board decides on Netnod's strategies and provides the management with long-term goals to ensure that its activities are in line with Netnod's mission. As well as receiving monthly updates on Netnod’s finances and activities, the board meets six times a year and approves Netnod’s annual budget. Board members are formally appointed by the TU Foundation with appointments following the nominations in accordance with the TU Foundation’s commitment to the Internet community.
"It's a privilege to be part of shaping Netnod's strategy,” said Amanda Östlund, Spotify. “I’m very excited to be working with the other members of the Board and the management team at Netnod.”
"Netnod operates infrastructure that is critically important to our digital society in the Nordics and beyond,” said Carl Moberg, Cisco. “The company has a world-class team, including key contributors to the the development of the Internet as we know it today. I am excited to join the Board and am looking forward to supporting the company on its mission."
With the addition of Amanda Östlund and Carl Moberg, the Netnod Board now features members from Cisco, Deutsche Telekom, Spotify, Telenor as well as members with high-level expertise in legal, telecommunication, venture capital and municipal network issues.
“We welcome Amanda and Carl to the Netnod Board,” said Leif Johansson, Chairman of the TU Foundation’s Board. “As we move forward, the expertise of Netnod’s Board members is crucial. I look forward to working with them to ensure that Netnod continues to work for the good of the Internet and to provide rock-solid Internet services in the Nordics and beyond.”
