Nurani Nimpuno selected to the IGF MAG
Netnod's head of Outreach and Communications Nurani Nimpuno, has been appointed by the Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN) to the MAG (Multistakeholder Advisory Group).
The Department of Public Information of the United Nations, announced today that the membership of the Multistakeholder Advisory Group, which is entrusted with assisting in the preparations for the annual meeting of the Internet Governance Forum, has been renewed.
The Advisory Group is made up of members from all stakeholder groups, representing Governments, private sector and civil society, including the academic and technical communities, representing all regions.
Netnod is pleased to announce that Nurani Nimpuno of Netnod, was one of the new members selected onto the MAG, as a representative of the technical community.
"It is a great honour to serve on the MAG", said Ms Nimpuno. "I believe the IGF is a unique forum, that brings together a wide range of stakeholders to discuss Internet governance. With my longstanding involvement in the Internet technical community, I hope to be able to contribute in a constructive manner in shaping the future of the IGF and the global Internet governance dialogue."
